Sound Note (App Store ID: 1605697655) is a voice recording utility. This policy explains how the app handles your information. We know your recordings are personal, so the product follows one design principle: your data stays on your device.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. Specifically:
- Recordings, titles, and encryption passwords are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to any server of ours;
- We do not collect your location, and the app never asks for location permission;
- No account registration is required; we collect no name, phone number, email, or other identity information;
- The app contains no advertising, no usage analytics, and no tracking of any kind.
3. How Permissions Are Used
- Microphone — used only to capture audio when you actively start a recording (including background recording you have explicitly started before switching apps). The app never records on its own without your action.
- Other permissions — the app does not request location, contacts, photos, health, or other sensitive permissions.
4. Data Storage and Security
- All recordings are stored in your device's local storage;
- You can encrypt recordings with a password; the password is also stored only on your device — we cannot read it or recover it for you;
- For backups, you can export recordings yourself via iCloud, iTunes, or the Files app. The entire export is performed by you through Apple's official channels; we have no access to that data.
5. Data Deletion
You can delete any recording inside the app at any time; uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. Backups made through iCloud / iTunes remain under your own control.
6. Third-Party Services
Sound Note contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or push SDKs, and shares no data with any third party. iCloud and iTunes are Apple's official services and are only involved when you actively choose to back up or export.
7. Children's Privacy
The app collects no data and is suitable for all ages (age rating 4+), including children.
